My Style: Instagram

I'm typically racing out the door to get to work and only sometimes remember to snap a photo. And now, thanks to Daylight Savings Time, unless an outfit is snapped over the weekend, this is the only way to capture what I wore {if I didn't instagram it, I didn't wear it...or something like that, ha}. Things to note after collecting these photos: slight obsession with these ALDO boots {love these too} that replaced my trusty Target riding boots {RIP} and the trusted top knot, two things you just can't go wrong with. 

Here's to a three day work week, Thanksgiving, and too much turkey!

I've been looking for the longest time for a well-fitted navy blazer. Low and behold, Forever 21 to save the day. I have so many ways I want to wear this piece. I have a list started, I kid you not. And this tee, let's talk about this tee. I would have much rather worn a crew neck with this collar necklace, but my favorite t-shirt in the entire world , which happens to be a v-neck will have to suffice.

I'll be celebrating a few friend's birthdays all weekend long with Mexican tonight & a dueling piano bar tomorrow! Between celebrations I hope to sleep in, tackle a few DIY projects, and cheer on the Hawkeyes! Stay tuned next week for a fun recap of our Fashion's Night Out at Portobello Road!

While I love making a statement when it comes to my accessories, my typical day-to-day look is rocking a pair of stud earrings and a delicate necklace. Last week I added to my collection with these two necklaces from Shira Melody that I picked up during KCFW and these bombom sexyback bloom earrings {you can curve the back or keep them straight}. These three pieces will definitely be on heavy rotation for weeks to come!

Keeping Busy

There are many things that are making my happy list this week. To start things off, it is already Wednesday, who doesn't love a short work week? I'm heading to dinner tonight with a new co-worker {Emily} & our mutual friend, Katelyn {Katalina Girl}. Thursday will mark my final ballet class preparation before the real thing starts next week {I'll be teaching adult beginner ballet this fall}. And come Friday, I will be heading to Kansas City Fashion Week this weekend & meeting up with Kat {everyday chic}. Busy, busy, busy. I love it!

My Style: Jet-Set Style

My mom and I are headed to Colorado for a long weekend & wedding celebrations of a dear family friend! I'll be wearing something along these lines today {just need to add a jean vest} as we jet set across the mid-west.  Can't wait to start the wedding festivities!

This is what I wore to an evening of wine tasting and dualing pianos. We toasted and sang to our hearts content. A perfect evening in my book. I can't wait to wear these shorts this fall with tights and booties!

PS. I'm itching to get a hair cut and color. It's been far too long {don't ask, you don't want to know}. What are your thoughts? Go darker and shorter? Bangs? I'm not usually one to take risks, but I'm ready for a slight change!

The power of online shopping & a good sale scored me this neon sweater & amazing chambray shorts while I was traveling. I have a feeling that, despite the heat, this sweater is about to become a closet staple. And the shorts - don't even get me started - they go with EVERYTHING in my closet. The only challenge I will have with them is that I can't wear them to the office!

PS. The only thing worse then packing is unpacking. Three weeks worth of laundry has peppered my bedroom floor. It's a test to see who will cave first. The floor or me. So far, I'm winning.

I love floral print and I love lived-in baseball tees. And of course, I love them even more when paired together.  My boyfriend is convinced that, at some point, these pants were my grandma's table cloth - but he finally admitted that they were growing on him.  I wore this outfit to our Girls Night Out event at worn, last Thursday night with A Sequin Dress at Breakfast.  Make sure you head over to her site to see some great snapshots of our event!
