Fossil 2011 Summer Collection

This past week I got the new Fossil catalogue in the mail.  I usually browse through the store, never finding anything that catches me eye...until now.  Fossil's summer look-book leaves me wanting more.  I can't wait to stop in and try on their breezy summer dresses, rompers, and cognac wedges.

They Say It's Your Birthday...

It's my birthday too--I turn 23 years old today!

During my 22nd year, I graduated college, moved home, got a job, and started this splendid little blog.  I cannot wait to see what my 23rd year has in store for me.

  I spent my birthday weekend taking in the 80 degree weather.  I devoured too many strawberry cupcakes and sipped on mimosas while catching up with an old friend at Centro.  I took on my MOH duties and helped my best friend with her wedding invitations and watched old school movies with my man--so fun to watch "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids!" while munching on movie theater popcorn all in the comfort of your own home.  Tonight begins a week of celebration, with dinner and drinks with my family.

a case of the tuesdays

This past weekend, temperatures spiked up to 87 degrees! Only in Iowa can it snow on a Tuesday and feel like summer by Sunday.  I cannot wait to pull out my floral print and bright colors dresses for the warm days ahead.

70s Bliss

A few weeks ago, I found the perfect wide leg jean.  The Hudson Woodstock.

I wore them Friday with a lovely mustard sweater and striped shirt inspired by this little number.

I wore them Saturday with a floral tank and light denim jean jacket inspired by this look.

Both days I wore them with these.

Can't wait to rock these looks next.
