Hints of Leopard

Hint of Leopard

While the heat has subsided, at least for now, here are two ways to incorporate leopard into your transitioning wardrobe.  I can agree with most that I refuse to wish summer away, but it's always a bit refreshing once the temperatures start to drop {if only a brief moment in time}.

Shop these looks:

Are you brave enough to rock the bold peplum top or would you prefer to subtly add print with your accessories?

Planning Ahead

This heat advisory we've been under the past few days has just about put me over the edge. I am left longing for crisp, cool evenings that leave a promise of changing leaves, Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Lattes {my downfall}, and, of course, football season.

When the temps do start to drop, I can't wait to adorn myself with layers, leather boots, and pops of color.  My first line of action will be updating my fall shoe collection and I have a feeling that lillybee shoes will help me take care of this. Using the finest leathers, patents, wool, and tweed, the lillybee Collection will easily transform your spring & summer styles to a warmer fall look!

Splurge vs. Steal: Silver Watches

I have been eyeing this Michele watch for the longest time! I have no where near the sufficient amount of funds needed to purchase this watch, but this Kate Spade watch is quite the steal and would make for the perfect everyday watch.

DIY: Confetti Canvas

A while ago I did a guest post over at A Sequin Dress at Breakfast.  Thought I would finally share this *sparkly* DIY with all of my lovely readers if you didn't catch it on her blog!

I spotted the perfect inspiration for my next DIY project on Pinterest which led me to my favorite guilty pleasure: Mint Love Social Club.  These lovely Kate Spade dishes inspired this DIY.  I had previously debated purchasing a similar style painting on Etsy and realized why not save money and try making my own!

I picked up metallic gold cardstock and glitter paper from Hobby Lobby and used a 1-inch circle punch to create the confetti.  I tossed the confetti on the canvas and secured it with spray adhesive, also picked up from Hobby Lobby.  Since moving, I've barely hung any artwork due my indecisiveness and a bit of *sparkle* was just what my living room needed.

basic color blocking

I simply cannot get over this outfit spotted on Lucy Laucht's blog.  There is something simplistic in the color blocking of the Alberta Ferretti Skirt and navy sweater.  Perfect for those cool summer mornings, but with a quick switch of the top, transitions into the perfect summer outfit.

My take:
