Worth Noting: Pose

Over the past few years I've read about Pose in and around the blogosphere. For those who haven't heard of it yet, Pose is an online and mobile community where uses can swamp photos and videos of their outfits and shopping finds.

I finally signed up earlier this week, and above else I'm most excited about the weather email that will soon be hitting my inbox! I know I'm not the only one hits snooze once, maybe twice, then rolls over to check Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and reads the Skimm, why not add an email that knows your weather forecast and helps you dress accordingly? What is not to love?!

Think Instagram for the fashion obsessed! Upload images of your  outfits and tag where each piece is from. Browse thousands of other stylish users and make sure to catalog the looks you love!

You can follow The Brunette One on Pose here!

Worth Noting: ShopBevel

I was graciously gifted this pair of emerald glitter earrings from Shopbevel and I love how they dressed up my striped shirt and boyfriend jeans that I wore to the office during casual week {we are in the process of moving buildings, whoohoo!}.

Shopbevel works with independent designers to bring to market the best in jewelry design. Designers submit designs to the site, the community votes and Shopbevel manufactures and sells selected winners - paying royalties back to the designers. At Shopbevel believes every jewelry designer should have the opportunity to be discovered and they work to create a community to make that possible.

Every product that is sold on Shopbevel has been voted into production by the Shopbevel community. Each item begins as a jewelry design submitted to the site by an independent designer, and ends as a piece of a Shopbevel collection manufactured by our production facilities. How cool is that?!

Shopbevel and I are giving you 25% off your purchase with the code BBSTUDS. Enjoy!

Shopbop Sale

Shopbop is giving you an additional 25% off all sale items with the code EXTRA25! This Equipment blouse is perfect for summer days in the office and this Joie cover up is perfect for an upcoming vacation!

My Style: Ikat Dress

Zara Dress | Shira Melody Necklace | Sam Edelman Sandals {old, similar} | Kate Spade Crossbody {Similar}

What does one wear to the farmer's market when the temps hit over 90 degrees? Why, a swingy printed dress, of course. This might be my new favorite dress of the summer. I love the simple pattern and low back {such a sucker for low back dresses}. We've been gone every weekend this month for weddings and our final wedding of the month was finally in Des Moines, so I was able make it to the farmer's market to soak in a bit of Des Moines goodness before I leave for vacation next Friday! I made sure to pick up a gorgeous bouquet of peonies and my favorite iced tea from Java Joe's!

Manicure Monday: Neon Colorblocked Nails

I'm so excited to finally share my nail polish videos I created with online women's fashion and beauty magazine, Divine Caroline!

Happy Manicure Monday!

My Style: Lace Pants

Forever 21 Tank {Similar}| Cameo Pants {Shorts Version}| Zara Heels | Kate Spade Crossbody {Similar}

These pants are everything. I can't wait to remix and match them with just about everything in my closet. I'm dying to pair them with a crop top since they are high waisted. I wore these out for a girl's night with fellow bloggers Emily, Katelyn, and Emily {who should have a blog, but doesn't}, we sipped wine and shared a few appetizers at Cafe di Scala in Sherman Hill and then ventured over to West Glen for a little dualing pianos and one too many dance-offs. A successful girls night if you ask me!

My Style: Liberty Print

J.Crew Blazer, Tee, & Liberty Print Skirt {Similar Liberty Prints}| Zara Heels & Tote | t+j designs Necklace

Two things I have to say about this outfit. I just walked out of a J.Crew ad & the humidity can suck it. I just remembered why I've never had short hair. I've always been able to handle long, curly, out of control hair but short, curly, out of control hair is another story. If you have any tips or tricks, please send my way. Anywho, I had a gift card to my local mall just burning a hole in my pocket, so a few Saturday's ago, I walked myself straight into J.Crew. I walked out with this blazer {which at full price, I would never think of picking up, but thank goodness for gift cards}, a new white tee, & this skirt. Did I mention it was during a 30% off sale day? That my friends, is how you shop at J.Crew.

PS. If you are in the area, stop by J.Crew at Jordan Creek Mall in West Des Moines this evening from 6-8pm. The new collection will have just hit the floors and I will be picking out my favorite pieces!

Shopping Cart: Kate Spade Sample Sale

I've been sitting on a few gift cards to Kate Spade for a few weeks now. I debated between purchasing this dress and this dress from Kate Spade Saturday but when I received the sample sale email announcement from Kate Spade New York earlier this week, I knew what I needed to do.

I've been in desperate need of a handbag update, and to be honest, these three bags are always in constant rotation {this, this, and this}. I was looking to make an investment, I knew I couldn't go wrong with Kate Spade. I ended up with a large tote bag and a cross body bag. Part of me wishes I had picked up something in color {bag envy from a girl I saw at lunch a day after I made the purchase}, but knowing me, I use my handbags for years so I would rather invest in a classic, basic color.

So tell me, did you pick up anything during this sample sale?!

Event: J.Crew Style Sessions

This Thursday J.Crew releases it's brand new July collection.  Come shop the stunning collection with me and Katelyn on June 18 from 6-8 pm at Jordan Creek Mall in West Des Moines, IA. Come enjoy refreshments, a special discount or two {like 25% off your purchase or 30% with a J.Crew card} and lots and LOTS of girl talk!! I would love to see all of you there. Bring your mom, girlfriends, sisters, daughters (or even your boyfriend or husband)!

Hope to see you all there.

Thanks for reading, xo!!

My Style: Monochromatic Chartreuse

Forever 21 Tee, Shorts, Necklace {Similar TeeShorts, Necklace} | Jessica Simpson Pink Heels {Peep Toe Version}| J.Crew Factory Clutch

I've been waiting to wear this outfit for months. I picked it up back in March during a shopping trip with Katelyn and haven't found the right event to wear it to until last week. We celebrated Emily's birthday with drinks & dinner al fresco {finalllyyy}.  The humidity and my hair surely do not mix as I was so rudely reminded of this night. I should just be thankful the rain held off and it was above 60 degrees. Sometimes Mother Nature can cut us some slack.

Splurge vs. Steal: Basic Leather Sandal

Shop DVF Shoes:

My Style: Party Peplum

ASOS Peplum Top {Similar}| Banana Republic Trousers {sold out, try these LOFT Jacquard Trousers}| Target Heels | Zara Tote | gifted t+j Designs Necklace | Fossil Watch

Of the three pairs of heels I purchased during the Prabal Gurung for Target event, I would  say these get multi-colored beauties get the most wear. They seem to be the most versatile and pair quite easily with these Banana Republic jacquard pants {last seen here}. I wore this look to the office last week, and it seems to sum up my summer work attire of colorful pieces & statement necklaces. Please excuse the stretched out pants...end of the day/sitting in chair all day effect, #workinggirlproblems.

My Style: J.Crew Camille Dress

J.Crew Camille Dress | J.Crew Factory Clutch {Similar} | Zara Heels | gifted t+j Designs Necklace

Within the first three weeks of June, Cody and I will have had a wedding every weekend. As the adults in our lives tell us, "You've just hit that age..." This is what I wore to kick off wedding season last weekend. Can I just say that I am not ashamed to admit how often I wear these heels and necklace? They go with everything! What is in heavy rotation in your closet this summer?
