RJO Southern Splendor Round Up

Here is a quick round up of all of the bits and baubles I spotted from the RJO Southern Splendor floor between my social media meetings.  A jade and black necklace from Cape Cod (above), testing out some new diamonds from Sol Savransky Diamonds Inc, and last by not least, my favorite wrap around rose gold pieces from JaydenStar.

RJO Southern Splendor: Metal Marketplace International

Another vendor I came across during my time at RJO's Southern Splendor was Metal Marketplace International. This rose gold infinity caught my attention from the moment I laid eyes on it. This necklace not only plays into my latest obsession with rose gold but ties to my favorite TV show, Revenge. I also paired it with a linked bracelet easily layered with other bracelets. These two pieces are fantastic every-day wear type of pieces and can be found here.

RJO Southern Splendor: Stuller

I stopped by the Stuller booth at RJO, and let me tell you, they were right up my alley when it comes to simple, delicate, yet bold pieces from their Tiny Posh collection. I just wanted to walk away with the layering necklaces that were offered in rose gold and gold. And those bangles, rarely can I find bracelets that fit my small wrist, but these were to die for! They may have been out of my budget, but I know they will make someone else very happy some day!

Inspired Style No. 3

Shop the Look:

Thank goodness for my trip to WWDMAGIC last week that helped rev up my inspiration for transitional spring wardrobe. I'm itching for warmer temperatures which will allow me bust out a dress or skirt sans tights. We had another bout of snow last night and this girl is more than ready for warm weather. Until that happens I'll be dreaming of skirts and open-toe heels. This look, first spotted on Pinterest, captures a transitional look I can't wait to try out in a few weeks (note, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for weeks and not months).

StyleEsque

Have you noticed the lack of posting around here lately? Well I have, but I assure you, I have the best excuse. One of very good friends, Emily, and I decided to put our love of styling to good use and start our own styling and production company, StyleEsque. While we weren't intending to launch our business until each of our weddings were done, (mine in May, her's in July), life, to put it simply, doesn't always go according to plan.

With one job and a handful of styled shoots under our belt in a little over a month, Emily and I found out earlier this week our styled shoot for Valentine's Day was going to be featured on 100 Layer Cake! Cue the excitement and champagne! Our feature went live yesterday and I decided it was time to let the follows of The Brunette One in on our new adventure! For this shoot, SE partnered up with photographer Aly Carroll, used flowers provided by Shelly Sarver Designs, and we turned what was once a craft room-now event space at Ephemera Stationary Studio into a styled soiree!

Please head over to 100 Layer Cake to see our complete feature and we invite you to follow along for all of the latest updates on SE on FacebookTwitterInstagram, and of course, Pinterest!

RJO Southern Splendor: Debbie Brooks

Dress: Modern Citizen // Boots: Wolverine 1K by Samantha Pleet // Necklace: H&M

A few weeks ago I went down to RJO: Southern Splendor. Not only did I have a chance to speak and consult with jewelry stores and buyers about social media, I was introduced to many new-to-me jewelry lines, one of which is Debbie Brooks. I was able to meet Debbie who is such a spit fire, I loved her! Each of her pieces can be customized with pop out plates and if you couldn't tell, that lip print was a favorite. She had a great collection of cross body bags and purses, and even has a collection of sorority products (wish they had been around when I was in college). Here were a few of my favorite pieces:

Penn + Pooch

A few months ago my friend Courtney approached me and wanted to talk all things dog-wear. I didn't have a puppy at the time, I loved her concept of her higher-end apparel for dogs called penn + pooch.  All of the pieces are original designed and are made of premium quality fabrics. Not only are the designs stylish and functional, each piece features a center back flap for leash and harness accessibility, but their garments are sourced and manufactured in California.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago, we touched base again and Courtney inquired if I would be willing to let our newly adopted puppy, Lola, model a few of the items their collection. Lola and I jumped at the chance! While Lola took awhile to warm up to the camera, she turned out to be was a natural {that or was highly tempted by a few dog treats}. I couldn't have been more excited to get her in a hoodie, as Lola is a Nashville native and is still learning to deal with this snow business. I jump at the chance to put her in anything to keep her toasty during this polar vortex business, now they just need to make a few life-sized hoodies for us owners!

Check out the many faces of Lola below… talk about model behavior!

See Lola in emerson hoodie here & here!

Below are a few of our other favorite pieces!

Make sure to check out all of the stylish and playful designs over at penn + pooch and scoop up your favorite pieces! I can't wait to get my hands on this raglan tee and this sleeveless hoodie!

Hump Day

Don't mind me, I'm just dreaming of warmer weather as we deal with yet another snow storm. I'm not too surprised, there's usually one of these storms hidden up Mother Nature's sleeve this time of year. It's one last reminder of what this cold white powder looks likes before people jet off on spring breaks in the Caribbean in March, followed up with April Showers and May flowers {and a wedding!}. #fourmonthsandcounting

Still on hitias from the blog until the end of the week…I have one more styled shoot tomorrow and then I'm strictly getting my focus back to my blog and wedding planning. I've had a few things in the works the last few weeks between flying to Vegas for work and Savannah for the blog {you've seen a few sneak peeks if you follow me along on Instagram}. So much to catch everyone up on, I can't wait…so stay tuned, even Lola is making her modeling debut on the blog this week!

PS. I don't think I've mentioned that I made it back to Vegas for WWDMAGIC. Thank you so much for voting for me and keeping me in the top 8. I can't wait to see what's in store this time around. More on that in the next few weeks as well!
