The power of online shopping & a good sale scored me this neon sweater & amazing chambray shorts while I was traveling. I have a feeling that, despite the heat, this sweater is about to become a closet staple. And the shorts - don't even get me started - they go with EVERYTHING in my closet. The only challenge I will have with them is that I can't wear them to the office!

PS. The only thing worse then packing is unpacking. Three weeks worth of laundry has peppered my bedroom floor. It's a test to see who will cave first. The floor or me. So far, I'm winning.

If you are in the SF/Bay area make sure and stop by Carolina Boutique, and even though I don't live on the West Coast, you can still get your fix over on Carolina's online boutique, which houses a wide range of clothes and brands (everything from Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent to Theory).  I love that one of my favorite jean brand, AG, is easily accessible by the click of a mouse. Find your favorite printed pant - the polka dots are on the top of my list, with the coral ikat pants not far behind! Pair with a perfectly worn-in tee and add a pair of flats and you will be set!

My Style: Summertime Sunshine

Nothing better to start the dreaded return to the office after traveling the past two weeks for work & a very relaxing vacation than with a bright yellow dress. This Fields of Sunflowers dress from Sugarlips has all of the makings of the perfect sundress. Bright color, breathable fabric {we are hitting 100+ here in Des Moines}, a fun cut-out back, and of course my favorite, pockets. I spent my last day of vacation catching up on True Blood & PLL and then got dolled up for date night - dinner & a movie, Spiderman  {a must see!}.
