My Style: Graphic Tee

Signature Aimee Tee | gifted Lush Skirt  {similar}| Forever 21 Jean Jacket | gifted Imoshion Handbag {similar} | Zara Heels {similar} | Kenda Kist Necklaces {1 and 2}

Sunday called for sunshine and no tights.  Hallelujah, spring is so close! This Lush skirt is going to give every other skirt in my closet a run for its money. Between the midi length {no matter what Who, What, Wear says, I'm sticking with the midi trend} and the sheer paneling, I just can't get enough of this skirt. While my office dress code doesn't look nicely upon graphic tees, I would defintetly wear this outfit for date night or a night out with the girls! Imoshion gifted us a bag from their collection and I jumped on this studded carry-all, not only is it made of vegan leather but comes with a second cross body bag inside of it, when you need to switch from day-to-night, simply throw your essentials in the smaller bag and out the door you go!

SJP By Sarah Jessica Parker

If you've known me for any length of time you would know my love for SATC. Like Carrie, I often agree that I like my money where I can see it, hanging in my closet, or often on my feet. A recent count left to believe I have a thing for shoes, whether they be high heels, sandals, boots, you name it. With Carrie's love obsession with her heels, it's no doubt that rubbed off on the beautiful and talented Sarah Jessica Parker, the actress behind the character. SJP has teamed up with Nordstrom to debut a 25 piece collection in addition to clutches and the timeless trench coach, each a personal reflection of her taste and style.

With the excitement of her recent launch, SJP is touring her six favorite cities and has documented those places on the Nordstrom Pinterest board, "SJP: A Day in Her Shoes." She shares with fans her personal favorites - of course,  "The Carrie", which as she describes as a strong shoe, that elongates the foot, highlighting the delicate straps and the grosgrain ribbon on the heel remind me of my beloved pointe shoes. Very fitting as SJP sits on the board for the New York City Ballet. Another is "The Allison", which is an edgy take on a high heel, paired with distressed boyfriend jeans and a printed blouse and out the door you go!

Equally as exciting is the opportunity for you to be entered to win an SJP "shoe wardrobe" and a $2,000 Nordstrom gift card {ahem, yes please!}. The contest ends March 14th, after SJP's final Nordstrom stop in Dallas.  Simply repin from her board onto any of your boards. Where would you wear her shoes, what favorite NYC haunts would you love to visit? Once you've pinned your favorites,  submit your entry here

I was asked to and agreed to promote this contest; however, this is not a paid sponsored post. I'm merely sharing my love of fabulous shoes with the world!

WWDMAGIC: Behind the Scenes

So begins my week of WWDMAGIC recaps. My box of WWDMAGIC swag just arrived on Friday instead of earlier in the week  due to a weather delays. Of course another snow storm arrived on Saturday preventing me from documenting any new outfits {doesn't Mother Nature know it's March?!}, but soon enough they will be coming to a blog near you! So until then, I am going to let you in a on a few behind-the-scenes moments, as captured on my iPhone, from my time at WWDMAGIC

Outfit 1: ASOS Top {Similar} | Express Skirt | Zara Heels
Outfit 2: Cameo Dress {Similar} | Zara Heels | Kate Spade Crossbody

It wouldn't be a trip Vegas without painting the town red with your girls. There was no time for outfit picks, so elevator #selfies will have to do!

gifted Ark & Co dress | gifted Chinese Laundry Heels | borrowed Alex & Ani Bracelets

A BTS look of what attempting to take an outfit photo looks like at WWDMAGIC.

The one piece I wish I had been able to take back to Iowa with me, this J'us pink coat was just what the doctor ordered.

Apparently when you appear to be looking at shoes and enthralled in conversation it really means you are in line for popcorn. #SorryImNotSorry for cutting you in line. #Hangry

So. Much. Swag. Stay tuned for a recap post of our haul!

WWDMAGIC Day 1

We hit the ground running on Day 1 of WWDMAGIC. Sabrina and I started the morning off discussing social media at The Social House and then wandered about taking in the new designs for next fall. We had a chance to meet and talk with Nicole Polizzi, known to most as Snooki. Nicole is debuting her fall collection at MAGIC, Snooki Love, and houses many versatile pieces. Inspired by her new lifestyle as a mom, her designs are focused clothes for women on the go who still want to be sexy yet put together. Whether it's crop tops that can be easily dressed up or down, to slouchy, lived-in sweaters that can easily be paired with leggings and boots and out the door you go.

It wouldn't be a trip to MAGIC without checking out the newest designs from my favorite designers. I made a stop to Aryn K, Darling, and Willow & Clay

At Aryn K I swooned over their matching separates. This pink and leather detailed short suit had my name all over it. The model at the booth was wearing this fantastic blush swing coat, a perfect layering piece for fall.

Darling left me wanting to walk away with every.single.item. Full skirts are trending right now and aren't going anywhere anytime soon, this patterned skirt had a matching jacket as well, and also available in navy. The second piece I was immediately drawn too was this embellished sweatshirt which also came in a shift dress silhouette.

If two things are on my radar for colder weather, it's texture and leather. These two Willow & Clay pieces embody everything I want to wear during the the blistering Midwest winters. And PS. Let's talk about this skirt. Full midi silhouette, leather, white, and has pockets…yes, please! Complete this look with a fuzzy/textured striped sweater, tights and ankle boots.
