My Style: Drop Hem Dress

Shop the Look:

I will be the first to admit that most blogs I follow when it comes to fashion it's because I can relate in some way, whether it's their style aesthetic, budget finds, or recreating pieces that I own invoking inspiration to remix my own wardrobe. One of these said bloggers is Caitlin from Style Within Reach. I've followed her for years and was lucky enough to meet her while standing in line for a show at NYFW. A few days later she posted this look from Lincoln Center. The ease of this fabric {neoprene is making a huge comeback} and silhouette just screamed, "buy me!" I finally pulled it out to wear during Saturday's evenings show at Kansas City Fashion Week (recap to come soon!)

Drop hem dresses initially scared me. I feared the length would hit at an awkward spot around the bum area. Thankfully, this drop hem was just the right length for my petite frame and I'm looking to invest in a few more dresses of this style for fall.
